Terms and conditions for the Renewaball used balls collection & recycling service

Definitions

Collection container: 100 liter metal container, 62.5 cm high, diameter 45 cm, for the collection of (used) tennis and padel balls only.

The container is provided with a full-colour sticker all around with information about the 'Renewaball®' concept and a reference (URL and QR code) to www.renewaball.com for additional information about the circular tennis ball.

The collection container has a lid with a hole, the latter lined with rubber, just large enough for a tennis/padel ball. The lid of the container can be closed with a bracket.

The collection container holds approximately 350 tennis/padel balls.

The container comes with 6 bags of 100L each, made from recycled plastic. When those 6 bags are filled with used tennis and/or padel balls, Renewaball will collect them and provide 6 new bags.

 

Location: The tennis or padel club, the tennis park or the tennis hall or venue where the collection container is located.

 

Opening hours: the times when the location is accessible for the collection of the balls. 

Terms

By subscribing to Renewaball's used balls collection service, the subscriber, taking into account that: 

  1. Renewaball offers a service in which used tennis/padel balls are collected by Renewaball from tennis/padel locations to be recycled into, among other things, new tennis and padel balls (brand: 'Renewaball®'),
  2. The location wants to provide its members/players the opportunity to make their used tennis/padel balls available to Renewaball for recycling by installing a collection container,
  3. The subscriber is being charged for the subscription on a monthly basis, in an automated payment via the payment method of the subscriber's choice

 

Agrees to the following: 

 

1. Placement

  1. At subscription, Renewaball places a collection container at the location, accessible to the members/players, preferably indoors in a place visible to them. When installed, 6 collection bags are supplied for the container.
  2. No other bags than the bags delivered by Renewaball will be used. 
  3. The collection container is and remains the property of Renewaball.

 

2. Collection

  1. The collection container is only used to throw in (used) tennis/padel balls.
  2. Tennis/padel balls of any brand, type/quality and color may be thrown into the collection container.
  3. No balls may be taken from the collection container.

 

3. Collecting the bags

  1. Renewaball will collect the 6 container bags at the location on the location's demand, within daily opening hours. 6 new empty bags are always supplied with each collection, along with the collection, or separately via mail.
  2. On demand as mentioned under 3.1 means that the subscriber calls for the collection via the product page of the Renewaball b2b webshop (product name: Collection round, Subscription based. No extra cost)
  3. Renewaball or its local partner will announce/propose a collection date 
  4. The location ensures that it is open on the collection date. Other times may be agreed upon in consultation with Renewaball. If Renewaball comes to empty within the communicated times and the location is not accessible, the costs of a wasted trip may be charged to the location.
  5. The container bags are placed by the location on or in the immediate vicinity of the public road on the agreed collection day.

 

4. Damages

  1. The location will take reasonable care of the container.
  2. The collection container is solid.
  3. If there is any damage to the container or its contents, the location will immediately inform Renewaball.
  4. Damage to the collection container, which can be attributed to negligence on the part of the location, can be recovered from the location.
  5. Only tennis balls and padel balls may be thrown into the collection container. Things other than tennis and padel balls that end up in the collection container (e.g. chocolate ice cream, glass, mayonnaise, bags of dog poo) can make the contents unsuitable for recycling. Removing/sorting/cleaning anything other than tennis/padel balls may incur costs specified by Renewaball and reimbursed by the venue.

 

5. Costs of placement of the collection container and recycling of the balls

  1. The costs of initial installation of the container and the recurring collection/recycling are as specified on the Renewaball b2b webshop. 
  2. For this amount, Renewaball will come by, collect the balls, shred and separate them, process them into raw material for recycling products. Renewaball then actually takes care of recycling the collected balls. Balls thrown into the collection container do not end up in landfill or incineration, but are all completely reused.

 

6. Sponsoring

  1. Locations are at liberty to engage a sponsor who pays for their Renewaball used balls collection service subscription. Renewaball is no part of such an agreement. 
  2. A sponsor logo can be placed on the collection container. 
  3. Placing a sponsor logo on the container will only be done by Renewaball. 
  4. The logo placement service can be obtained via the product page of the Renewaball b2b webshop (product name: Bin logo sticker set)

 

7. Duration of this agreement

  1. This agreement is entered into with the mutual intention of an ongoing, recurring collection.
  2. This agreement applies until notice of termination. This can be done by either party at any time, without giving reasons. A condition for termination is that all outstanding dues have been paid. 
  3. If a Renewaball used balls collection service subscription is ended by the subscriber terminating the monthly payment, subscriber will give notice (collection@renewaball.com) to Renewaball of such termination. 
  4. In the event of termination, the location will cooperate with Renewaball for the collection/return of the container on or around that date.

8. Domains and markets

  1. The collection & recycling service is limited to a number of European countries. 
  2. The countries in which the service is rendered are, as per 2025: NO, SE, FIN, DK, NL, BE, LUX, GER, FR, AT, PT, ES, CH, IT. 
  3. Renewaball will extend the number of countries the Collection and recycling service is rendered in. 
  4. The ball sales are, as per 2025, being delivered in all EU countries + NO, CH, UK.
